Hannah Schmidt

Behavior Analyst

Hannah has a master’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in ABA from Capella University. She is a BCBA and has 4 years of experience working in the field of ABA. She most recently gained experience in the clinic, home and school settings as a clinical supervisor at an ABA clinic, working with clients age 3 - 22 with multiple diagnoses, including, but not limited to: ASD, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), global developmental delays, and ADHD. As a clinical supervisor, Hannah trained caregivers in ABA techniques and applied these techniques to reduce maladaptive behaviors, such as self-injury, aggression, and tantrum behavior.

She also has previous experience working for abused and neglected children, their families, and foster families at a foster care and adoption agency and has worked in the training department at the Florida Office of Child Welfare. Hannah is excited to use her skill set as a behavior consultant, helping others to address behaviors and build skills necessary to build autonomy in individuals.

Elsie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and has a master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. She began her career working as a patient advocate for those in hospice care, working primarily with the aging population. She has 8 years of experience working with individuals in the Aging and People with Disabilities (APD) population and those with and Intellectual Disabilities (ID).

Elsie has spent the previous 6 years working in the clinic and home setting as a clinical supervisor creating and implementing intensive applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment programs. In this role, she gained experience working with individuals who engage in dangerous behavior and has become proficient in crisis de-escalation. Elsie specializes in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She is also experienced working with those who are part of the LGBTQAI+ community and treating people with a variety of diagnoses including: Down syndrome (DS), traumatic brain injury (TBI), visual and hearing impairments, dual mental health diagnosis, and behaviors such as inappropriate sexual behaviors and severe challenging behaviors.

Elsie is passionate about the application of ABA across diagnoses and populations. She is currently pursuing training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), emphasizing its application in caregiver training.

Elsie Herring

Behavior Analyst

Elsie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and has a master’s degree in Psychology with an ABA specialization from Capella University. She has 8 years of experience working with individuals in the Aging and People with Disabilities (APD) population and those with and Intellectual Disabilities (ID). Her career began as a hospice patient advocate, working primarily with the aging population. Elsie has spent the previous 6 years working in the clinic and home setting as a clinical supervisor creating and implementing intensive applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment programs. In this role, she gained experience working with individuals who engage in dangerous behavior and has become skilled in crisis de-escalation.

Desa Steele

Behavior Specialist

Desa has been working in the behavioral health field for the last 15 years and is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Educational Psychology and is currently pursuing a M.S of Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. Desa started her career at the school district serving underprivileged children and families, there she learned about ABA and found a passion for helping individuals with challenging behaviors. She has spent the last 8 years working in the clinic, home and community setting as an assistant supervisor, helping to create and implement ABA programs and behavior plans, train staff, and conduct parent training. Desa has experience working with a wide range of individuals with many different diagnoses including: ASD, ADHD, mental health diagnosis, and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). Desa has worked with individuals who engaged in severe maladaptive behaviors and is passionate about helping those individuals manage those behaviors and obtain a higher quality of life.
